Both believers and unbelievers render sacrifices to any (g)God they are serving. Any man that has an altar must render sacrifice.
Sacrifice is a must. Just like a man who serves an idol makes a sacrifice unto his altar, so are we Christians expected to give something tangible to God almighty because whenever you call upon his name, He always answers you. So to show how grateful you are, you have to render a sacrifice or an offering but most times we Christians find it very difficult to show appreciate to God for protection, provisions and preservation which we know that without the grace of God we can't be in existence.
You are meant to give God something that will pain you, but even the little you give you regret it. Learn to do things for God without looking behind.
God loves a cheerful giver. When you give happily, God will give you more than you have given out.
